Day 5 - Hello, New York City - Part II

After taking a bit of time out for some rest and relaxation, we headed back out into the city just to stroll around and eventually find something to eat for dinner.  One of other things on my "to eat" list was some authentic New York pizza, and according to my research, we were on the lookout for Johnny's Pizzeria.  Although I really also wanted to try a hotdog from a street vendor, nobody else would take me up on it.

Anybody up for a hotdog from the street vendor?
Hello?  Why are you passing the hotdog cart?  Wait for me!
Another thing on Emilee's list of things to see was the Apple's store in NYC. We found it and strolled inside.  There were electronics set up everywhere for people to "play with!"

COOL!

The FAO Schwarz toy store was by the Apple store, and that was on my list, so we headed inside.  Couldn't resist the photo opp with the toy soldier.

Mega Rice Krispy Treat

If only this pillow was a real giant bag of Peanut M&Ms!

Jumbo box of Jelly Bellies!

Daddy's favorite... a jawbreaker as big as his head!

Daddy found a spot to take a load off... or was he waiting
in line for his turn for a glitter tattoo? :-)

Next stop... Central Park.  We had reservations to bike through Central Park on Sunday, but we wanted to get a quick glimpse of it while we were on this end of the city.

Condos with a few of Central Park... wonder how much these are?

Then it was off to find dinner!  We were tired and starving, but I still had time to snap a few more fun pics on our way to the restaurant.

Only one opening on the side of this building, which leads
to quite the imposing fire escape

Mario Kart... wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

FOUND IT! STARVING!

Authentic New York Pizza!
Although we had to wait for about half an hour, the pizza was yummy and worth the wait!  After dinner, we headed back to our hotel.  This may be the city that never sleeps, but I'm too old for that!

As we were strolling through Times Square on the way back to our hotel, we saw quite a disturbing site.  This little older man, who couldn't have weighed more than 90 pounds soaking wet, was posing with tourists for tips.  It wouldn't have been so bad except he was wearing a purple bikini and 4" stilettos!  I couldn't force myself to take a picture, so you'll have to use your imagination.  To help you out with that, this is what Emilee's face looked like when she first spotted him.  Wish I had a picture of what it looked like about two seconds after this!  HAHA!

This place is crazy!

Good night, New York City!
